Welcome to One Love Drum Tabs!

Finally, a tab website made by drummers for drummers.  Feel free to browse our free drum tab directory.  If you would like to help or just put your two cents in you can email me at mgreenleaf at onelovedrumtabs dot com or you can comment on my drum tabs blog.

If you don't know what drum tabs are or how tablature works, or how they work, this wikipedia article may help.

Funk drum tabs continued

I've made it my goal to collect as many funk related drum tabs as possible on this site. That being said, a listing of what I have so far can be found on the funk drum page. It can also be reached through the side navigation.

Update: Just added "Cold Sweat" by good ole' James Brown to the Funk Tabs section

The glory that is Firefox

Still using Microsoft Internet Explorer? Tired of no updates and no new features? Check out Firefox, the free web browser from Mozilla. Firefox is open source, which means no corporation is behind its spread, is updated very frequently (every few weeks), and contains all kinds of amazing features. Firefox allows tabbed browsing which lets you view multiple pages in the same window. Being open source, Firefox also has the advantage of having tons of third party applications that one can add on with the click of a button. Need a download manager? Get FlashGet. Want to see a randomly interesting page? Get Stumble Upon. Firefox even has a google search bar built right in! Finally a browser is actually challenging internet explorer. Get it now below!

New Features!

Alright, progress! The site has received new features! Go check out the Forum and put in your request for a drum tabs or just talk about drums. I'll be updating the catagories soon, so keep coming back! I've also added a tab submit form, but its being tempermental. Hopefully I'll fix it today. MG

OW! I FEEEEL GOOOD!

After a fair bit of searching, here are the FIRST FUNK DRUM TABS by the master himself, Mr. James Brown. Check out I got you (I feel good) and Papa's Got a Brand New Bag, right here on One Love Drum Tabs. MG

Finally, my own domain!

I would like to officially welcome you to One Love Drum Tabs, the home of free drum tabs.  Expect to see a lot of new changes coming.  Most of the links still refer to the old site, so it may take awhile to port over all the pages and tabs.  Feel free to email webmaster@onelovedrumtabs.com if you find something wrong!  MG

Failure of funk drum tabs...boooo

It seems that there are plenty of drum sites out there, but very few people actually doing any tabbing. This has come to my attention becuase there are NO FUNK DRUM TABS! PERIOD! On that note, I decided to add tabs of one of my other favorite artists, Bob Marley, but I could find hardly any tabs for his work either! The great Carlton Barrett was a shaper of music for decades and his music is not to be found. Drummers always get the raw end of the stick.... MG

Ack, Websites take a lot of work....

I'm sorry to say that I have not been updating as much as I'd like. I've changed some minor cosmetic items and cleaned up the code a bit (not that it matters much). It doesn't look like I'll be moving to a new server until I figure out how that is done....yeah...and it costs money...yeah...Hold out hope however, Bookmark the page and keep checking back because good things concerning drum tabs are on the way. MG

News about the site

Soooooo.....school has started back up and new things should start to appear on this drum tab site. First on my list is to move to a real server and host the tabs somewhere besides UVA. Also coming is a more uniform look to the site. And as always..MORE DRUM TABS! MG

Email Drum tabs:

I recently received some drum tablature via email and it has sparked my interest in working on a section that would allow people to add tabs. However, this might entail learning a new programming language: PHP. Anyhow, thank you Joe Spencer for taking the initiative.

Drum tab addtions

I've been slowly adding drum tabs with the newest additions being The Strokes and Led Zeppelin but its definitly a slow process. New ideas for the website are swirling around my head and include making use of templates and adding a way to submit tabs....school is about to start...so we shall see...MG

A cry for Funk drum tabs:

Please, Please, Please, if you have any funk drum tabs lying around, send them my way! I've made it my mission to collect funk drum tabs on the site since I can't seem to find even the most popular songs out there. Just email them to me at mng5c@virginia.edu

On a similar note, If you have any tabs at all that you want to see up on this site, email me. Or if you have any tabs you want to contribute.....EMAIL ME!!! mng5c@virginia.edu

Trucking Along

I haven't had a chance to add anything to the site in a few days....sorry... busy weekend etc. I have been having lots of trouble with CSS formating. For some reason the navagation bar on the right is displayed on the bottom of the page for some screen sizes. boo. Also, I am playing around with templates so all the pages will actually look the same as opposed to editing each page individually. Thats about it..oh.. go check out my drum tabs blog over at wordpress. I've been trying to write frequently and not just about drums. so. go check it out. MG

Website Update:

The website is slowly coming along as more and more items, including pages and tabs are added. Also, I've added google search (hopefully it works). Here's a list of the new drum tabs

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

As you have probably noticed, this site needs heavy construction to bring it up to speed. Currently, only a few of the artist pages go anywhere, and if they do, there are few artists available. I am working on it, but a full time job prevents me from putting too much time into drum tabbing and this website. So there, be warned, and if you want to help EMAIL ME!!! mng5c@virginia.edu

My drum setup

I suppose any decent drum site must include a little drum hardware pride. My set is Tama Rockstar with a midnight blue finish. If I had to recommend a quality starter set, this would be the one. Having said this, I'm sure you could find a cheaper set from Musicians Friend that would suit most peoples needs. And just to see if anyone is paying attention: Who is the drummer featured in the photo above??
